Frequently Asked Questions

How do you incorporate faith and psychology?

Great question.  We bring faith into our counseling sessions based on your comfort level and your desire for it.  We also provide counseling with out the faith component as well.

How do I know your team is trustworthy?

Very good question.  Trust your gut, if you feel comfortable and supported continue meeting with one of our counselors. We also value feedback on how we can serve clients better as well.

How fast could a counseling session be scheduled?

The answer is based on current availability of the counselors.  At times there are openings for the week coming up and at other times we would be happy to add your name and info to our waiting list.

How long has Mercy Counseling Services been serving clients?

We started in the summer of 2019 with one counselor and one client and have grown to today's team!

Do you work with clients who have never spoken to a counselor before?

Yes! For many of our patients at Mercy Counseling Services, this is their first experience with a counselor.

How do you deal with the awkwardness and vulnerability of opening up to a complete stranger?

Very good question.  Pace is very important here.  It's more important to establish a relationship built on trust than leaping ahead to problem solving.

What is your new client procedure?

The intake is easy and all can be completed right online from your cell phone or computer.

Is my information protected?

Yes!  Mercy Counseling Services uses a HIPAA compliant secure online platform for all notes and video visits.
